Our Founding Story & Legacy
Kinniya Central College was established in 1958 to bring secondary education and university pathways within reach of the families of Kinniya and the surrounding Trincomalee coastal region. What began with visionary pioneering educators has blossomed into the premier academic beacon of the division.
Over nearly seven decades, the college has produced prominent doctors, engineers, university dons, jurists, civil administrators, and international athletes who proudly trace their intellectual beginnings to these classrooms.
